Dear Prospective Member,
Thank you for your interest in Project Stretch and on behalf of the board of directors I sincerely welcome you as a new member. You may be wondering, “What’s next for me as a new member? Where do I fit in? How do I get assigned to a mission?” I’ll start by explaining that Project Stretch works under the general premise of many hands make light work. Everyone is a volunteer. New members are encouraged to get involved, come to our meetings, participate in the organization of our fundraisers and events and be social. We all have responsibilities, families to attend to, and professional obligations, which can make participation difficult. Our goal is that no one person feels the enormity of any one task, but that we will all share those necessary responsibilities together. Not only does this create a closer, more effective team when you do leave on a mission, but it is a great way to meet new friends and dental colleagues.
